Amar Ajnalkar: Tell our readers about yourself?
Sreetama Saha Poddar: Hey, I am Sreetama Saha Poddar from Kolkata, a software engineer by profession, and a blogger by passion. One word to describe myself would be ‘amicable’. I have also been a professional reciter in All India Radio. Creating content for my blog gives me immense pleasure.
Amar Ajnalkar: How did you come up with the name for your Instagram account?
Sreetama Saha Poddar: For me, the other version of ‘Love’ is ‘Food’, so I came up with ‘loveakafood’ as my ig name in my initial blogging days but as everyone says that the handle name should be something short and crisp so later I changed it to ‘food_techmighty’ as I belong to a technical background.
Amar Ajnalkar: What is the best thing about being an influencer?
Sreetama Saha Poddar: The term ‘Influencer’ itself comes with a lot of responsibilities. Someway or the other you become a part of someone’s life, no matter how small it is. My followers support me a lot and the love they shower on me is priceless. Moreover, you come across a lot of brands and you always learn something from your assignments and deliverables. This literally helps me to brush up my skills and come up with some innovative content every time.
Amar Ajnalkar: What is the best collaboration experience that you have done with a brand?
Sreetama Saha Poddar: So till now I have collaborated with more than 50 brands and they all were unique in their own way. Being born and brought up in the hills of Siliguri, I am very obsessed with tea, so a few months ago I collaborated with Karma Kettle and they serve a wide range of tea which literally stole my heart away.
Amar Ajnalkar: How many hours a day do you work and hows your daily schedule?
Sreetama Saha Poddar: I try to complete my shoot within the weekend because on weekdays I have my office. If somehow I have to create my content on weekdays then I have to wake up at 6 am in the morning and complete everything before my office hours start. The duration of the shoot always depends upon the brand deliverables.
Amar Ajnalkar: Is the influencer profession affected your family life? if yes then how?
Sreetama Saha Poddar: The answer will be a big ‘NO’. They have always been supportive of me in this regard. I always try to fix my schedule for everything prior, keeping my work-life balance.
Amar Ajnalkar: What motivates you in life?
Sreetama Saha Poddar: My dreams for sure. I believe one should always dream big. My dreams always push me a step towards my goals. Your biggest competitor is the person whom you can see while standing in front of a mirror. My continuous zeal of being a better version of mine, keeps me going. My mom and dad have always been my role model, they always taught me never to give up in life no matter what comes on your way. Moreover, I am a big fan of Gaur Gopal Das and have applied many of his life lessons during tough times.
Amar Ajnalkar: What are your favourite books or movies related to your niche?
Sreetama Saha Poddar: Visuals always attract me over written documents. So I prefer watching movies reading books. ‘The Man from the Earth’ and ‘Predestination’ will always be in my good books.
Amar Ajnalkar: What surprising lessons have you learned while influencing?
Sreetama Saha Poddar: Life is not a bed of roses. You have to keep yourself prepared to face any situation. During my initial days of blogging, I did not get the focus and appreciation which I deserved in comparison to the efforts I gave, so something was continuously pulling me backwards. You will get lots of suggestions on your way but you have to choose wisely which one to pick and which one to leave.
Amar Ajnalkar: Top 3 skills required to become a successful influencer.
Sreetama Saha Poddar: You have to be passionate about what you are doing, patience is a must, work hard in silence and let your success do all the noise.
