Amar Ajnalkar: Tell our readers about yourself?
Priyal Kamdar: Hey!! I am Priyal Kamdar and here’s a little insight into my life as a food blogger! I always had a hard time “Fitting in” in this world but the food made stood out in the most beautiful way. I have been a foodie since childhood. I was always interested and was ready to explore new things as a baby. So basically food is a major part of my life.
Amar Ajnalkar: How did you come up with the name for your Instagram account?
Priyal Kamdar: My Instagram accounts name is literally something that I am Hogger turned Blogger of Mumbai hahahha (Mumbai Hogger Blogger)
Amar Ajnalkar: What is the best thing about being an influencer?
Priyal Kamdar: The best thing has to be the way people see me or rather see my page as an inspiration. How I am able to Showcase new experiments i do with food. Everyone has their own kinda food, My page just helps you to find your kinda right food, food that you will relate to!
Amar Ajnalkar: What is the best collaboration experience that you have done with a brand?
Priyal Kamdar: One the best experience I had with working with a brand was that once I collaborated with a particular brand, they loved my work so much that they collaborated 2 more times with me for their launches! So yeah brands do appreciate talent.
Amar Ajnalkar: How many hours a day do you work and hows your daily schedule?
Priyal Kamdar: There’s no specific or fix the time that I work but I make sure to try and experiment every day. Somedays I work literally the entire day and sometimes for only a few hours! But when you love what you do, time really doesn’t matter.
Amar Ajnalkar: Is the influencer profession affected your family life? if yes then how?
Priyal Kamdar: It hasn’t affected my family life, I have literally the most supportive family when it especially when it comes to my blogging! But now no one addresses me as Priyal anymore it’s always “Hogger blogger” hahaha. In fact, all my relatives see my page as a solution to their ‘Ajj khaane me kya banau’ situation.
Amar Ajnalkar: What motivates you in life?
Priyal Kamdar: My passion for food, of course, I always have a will to do my best every day, how i can better myself than what I was yesterday. Every day is a new day. Some days even I feel demotivated but hey that’s what life is all about. I still remember the first time someone from my college saw me and said you are mumbaihoggerblogger right? I follow you on social media. Trust me when I say that it was a life-changing experience to be known and recognized by my work. I was living the dream! So trust me always follow your passion, your heart and you will always be having a wonderful journey
Amar Ajnalkar: What are your favourite books or movies related to your niche?
Priyal Kamdar: I don’t have any favourite book, but there’s this show on Netflix “The sugar rush” its a baking competition show and has been literally one of the Reasons I enjoy baking so much!!
Amar Ajnalkar: What surprising lessons have you learned while influencing?
Priyal Kamdar: One thing that this page has taught me is how to be patient. How one should always be true to ourselves. There are thousands of people in the same business, find something and be someone that is one of your kind. Be you!! Never compare yourself with others, Enjoy the journey keep working hard and outcomes will be fruitful in end!! Food blogging has taught me so many more things than just tasting food, it has taught me some valuable life lessons, which I feel would otherwise have never been known to me.
Amar Ajnalkar: Top 3 skills required to become a successful influencer.
Priyal Kamdar: Consistency, Consistency, Consistency… but with that quality, content is also very important. Understanding your audience, interact with them for what they want to see!
