Amar Ajnalkar: Tell our readers about yourself?

Indira: Hey, this is Indira. A social media Influencer based out in Kolkata. I make content related to Fashion, beauty and lifestyle. I’m also an MBA final year student. Aiming to make it big.

Amar Ajnalkar: How did you come up with the name for your Instagram account?

Indira: My Instagram account name has been the same ever since I’ve started using Instagram basically when I wasn’t an Influencer even. It’s important to show your real side, and that’s what I preferred to just keep it easy and simple.

Since early childhood, life haven't been easy, it was never fun, it was never comforting. Every circumstance was a hurdle. Was ignorant of self-love. Never had someone who could really comfort me, or rather try to figure out my situation. I was going through depression. As usual, I was too unaware of the fact to understand that. But, I really consider myself fortunate enough, that I crossed the not so easy path with some people who actually taught me in so many ways that I don't deserve 'THAT'. Yet, my committed nature, kept me on the same path. That path was a learning path. Yes, it was. The experiences, the realisations came through. That was the time, I rediscovered 'MYSELF'. Hence, there's no looking back. We spend so much time trying to fit ourselves in different places and parts where you don't even belong. We also try to figure out someone else, if they are right for us, that is important. But, not more than yourself. And it's never too late for you to rediscover yourself. Talk to yourself. Your energy deserves your attention first. It's very important to start with yourself. Amar Ajnalkar: What is the best thing about being an influencer?

Indira: My audience is the best thing ever. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m a student, I’ve had quite a few ups and downs while doing this, but, they have always supported me and is keeping to do that.

Amar Ajnalkar: What is the best collaboration experience that you have done with a brand? (answer only if you work for any brand.)

Indira: There have been a lot of experiences that are close to my heart, but, recently I collaborated with CCD for their new Menu launch in Kolkata, which included 5 of my followers to dine with me. It was an amazing and special experience of how they connected us and had treated us throughout the event. So, that has to be one of the best collaboration experiences.

Amar Ajnalkar: How many hours a day do you work and hows your daily schedule?

Indira: Honestly, I don’t have a schedule unless it’s a campaign requirement which is relative. Instagram is my favorite social media platform and I literally enjoy keeping at it. My daily schedule involves sharing positivity on my posts, keeping my audience aware of the launches, previews and also my whereabouts.

Amar Ajnalkar: Is the influencer profession affected your family life? if yes then how?

Indira: Not at all. My family is very supportive of the work I’m currently at. It’s this profession that can keep you close to your loved ones at the same time, than any other profession.

Amar Ajnalkar:  What motivates you in life?

Indira: My Passion towards the work I do is something that keeps me very consistent, and motivation also comes from my audience whose love and support is something that keeps me going.

Amar Ajnalkar: What are your favorite books or movies related to your niche?

Indira: My favorite books have to be, ‘You Can Win’ by Shiv Khera and ‘Good Vibes. Good Life’ by Vex King because these books emphasize self achievements, self-love and greatness.

Amar Ajnalkar: What surprising lessons have you learned while influencing?

Indira: It’s a constant competition. Competition of Follower count, Engagement and Connections. Having said that, the learning I took from this is not involving itself in this race, but, just be authentic and rest will follow.

Amar Ajnalkar: Top 3 skills required to become a successful influencer.

Indira: Passion, Consistency, and Commitment.
