Amar Ajnalkar: Tell our readers about yourself?
Akshatha: Hey guys… My name is Akshatha, a model, a fashionist, a fashion blogger by passion. Also, a software engineer by profession. I’ve been following my dreams and influencing my followers for a few months now.
Amar Ajnalkar: How did you come up with the name for your Instagram account?
Akshatha: People always recognize you best with your name so I decided to have my full name as a username for my Instagram account.
Amar Ajnalkar: What is the best thing about being an influencer
Akshatha: The best thing about being an influencer is to receive so much love from your followers which inspires you to create more content. All you gotta do is create the content that you really love and you’ll get to hear love you back from people who get inspired.
Amar Ajnalkar: What is the best collaboration experience that you have done with a brand?
Akshatha: I have had a chance to work with only a couple of brands so far. Out of them I must say ‘Hair speak family Saloon’ has been the best experience.
Amar Ajnalkar: How many hours a day do you work and hows your daily schedule?
Akshatha: As I’m a working professional it’s difficult for me to spend time on creating the content on weekdays. So, I mostly work on weekends with my shoots and content creation. And I’d say around 6 hours.
Amar Ajnalkar: Is the influencer profession affected your family life? if yes then how?
Akshatha: Oh! Not at all. In fact it’s been my stress buster and I’m happier than I used to be which makes me balance my personal and professional life better. And I must say my family has been super supportive of what I do and we manage things perfectly fine.
Amar Ajnalkar: What motivates you in life?
Akshatha: My friends, my family, the celebs/fashion bloggers I follow and, my Instagram family who as a whole motivate me. Each compliment I receive gives me satisfaction for what I do and the good words I hear from them make me feel proud of the hard work I put in. So, this gives me an immense pleasure for creating more content for aspiring models and bloggers
Amar Ajnalkar: What are your favorite books or movies related to your niche?
Akshatha: ‘Confessions of a shopoholic‘, ‘27 dresses‘ and Devil wears Prada’ are my favorite movies.
Amar Ajnalkar: What surprising lessons have you learned while influencing?
Akshatha: There’re some people who always talk ill, some critics or you might not get a good response for some content which you feel would’ve rocked. So what I’ve learned is not to worry and think too much and just focus on making good stuff that you would help people even if it’s just a handful of aspiring people.
Amar Ajnalkar: Top 3 skills required to become a successful influencer.
Akshatha: PASSION-You do best in what you love so without passion you will have no interest to create strategy-You need to have a vision so you’d know in which path you’re going and flexible in trying something and exploring yourself on the way to do so hard work- A must I’d say because there are no such things as free lunch or nothing that we do here is a cakewalk so we put in our thoughts, time, patience, hard work to influence. These 3 skills would really help us excel.
