Amar Ajnalkar: Tell our readers about yourself?
Ashika Advankar: Hi everyone, I am Ashika Advankar, I have my own blogging website www.thetribeville.com where I post lifestyle blogs and product reviews. Professionally I work in Marketing so I have to make sure that I am giving both my time and attention to both these aspects of my life equally. From an educational background, I am a scientist, but I was more inclined towards content creation, social media and writing and I am glad that I get to do both personally and professionally. Now I am gradually moving my Instagram towards more fitness related posts hoping to inspire many people towards a life of wellness
Amar Ajnalkar: How did you come up with the name for your Instagram account?
Ashika Advankar: So my Instagram account is @ashika.advankar , I was thinking for some time that I should keep something quirky or The Tribeville in association to my blog, but I wanted to present my name as a brand so I went my complete name. Also, I am the only Ashika Advankar in the world so no competition there.
Amar Ajnalkar: What is the best thing about being an influencer?
Ashika Advankar: The best is the ability to bring a change. Influencer itself means someone who influences so why not be a good one. When I started working out I was a bit sceptical about posting it on my stories, thinking people will be judging me, what will happen if I don’t follow through, what if they think I am a wuss? But when I started posting stories sharing my progress, there were many people who messaged me that they were inspired by me and started working out themselves. Those messages made me so so happy, that I started my own virtual fitness class, so if any of the readers want to join then drop me a DM on Instagram.
Amar Ajnalkar: How many hours a day do you work and hows your daily schedule?
Ashika Advankar: I absolutely love my job, so I devote approximately 8 -9 hours to it every weekday, I devote at least 3 hours to my fitness group and people in it. I do most of my content creation and Instagram posts on weekends and schedule them throughout the week. I make sure to interact with my followers every day. I have a habit of reading books and practising my French daily! And watching series, it is an addiction, I watch lots of series, right now I am watching Lucifer on Netflix, a handsome devil with a drool-worthy British accent!
Amar Ajnalkar: Is the influencer profession affected your family life? if yes then how?
Ashika Advankar: It hasn’t negatively affected my life. My parents absolutely support me with whatever I want to do. My mum is the one clicking my photos and my dad is there in the back holding a backdrop. Nowadays there are not even surprised that on a lazy Sunday I suddenly emerge from my room wearing a wedding outfit, looking for perfect shoes to go with the outfit.
Amar Ajnalkar: What motivates you in life?
Ashika Advankar: The only thing motivating me is the desire to have my sea-facing penthouse in South Mumbai and I am ready to work hard to achieve it as I know how much they actually cost. I am ready to work two jobs, sacrifice the weekends and learn new things. Once I am sitting at the balcony of that penthouse looking at the sunset, that time I will decide my next goal.
Amar Ajnalkar: What are your favourite books or movies?
Ashika Advankar: Recently I read the book Happy Money by Ken Honda which was good for e to understand how we damage our relationship with money. Books written by Sudha Murthy have a really big impact on me.
Amar Ajnalkar: What surprising lessons have you learned while influencing?
Ashika Advankar: I have learnt that there will be people who will be very negative towards you, but you have to be resilient to them and do your own thing. In the end, it is you and your family that should matter the most.
Amar Ajnalkar: Top 3 skills required to become a successful influencer.
Ashika Advankar: Consistency, Gratitude and Courage. Everything else can be learned from Youtube
Amar Ajnalkar: Hows your experience with Amar Ajnalkar?
Ashika Advankar: I thank Amar for this opportunity, he was very gracious and helped me out with my queries regarding this interview. He explained it to me so well and I will be grateful for it.
Amar Ajnalkar: Two lines for our reader.
Ashika Advankar: The only thing limiting you is you. Believe, Visualize, Plan and Manifest. I was a terribly negative person and if I can do it then you can too if you just believe in it.
