Amar Ajnalkar: Tell our readers about yourself?
Pratik Patil: Hey everyone I am Pratik Patil. Umm, also known as Mr. Stay Hungry. I’m pursuing my Graduation in Information Technology from the Modern College of Engineering. I started this page 3 years ago. I always had this habit of exploring new places to eat around in Pune from a very small age. I have also been into Trekking, Biking, Sports and Fitness. I love trekking so yes soon I’ll be arranging treks for everyone out there. Later then like after a year or two I have started writing Aaj ka Gyaan and Poems on my stories which was praised by many of them so yes you can call me ‘Writer by Night’. Recently have started my own marketing firm with my friends called WEQUAD MEDIA.
Amar Ajnalkar: How did you come up with the name for your Instagram account?
Pratik Patil: Initially for 6-7 months it was @punes_bhukkad_gang cause it was handled by 3 of us, later two of them had to quit due to some reasons. Then changed it to @stay_hungry_pune as I have started this page in Pune and most of the time I’m hungry so after 2 days of research I came up with this name i.e @stay_hungry_pune.
Amar Ajnalkar: What is the best thing about being an influencer?
Pratik Patil: The best thing about an influencer is these people are always looking forward to you for eg: my next post, my next meme or my next aaj ka gyaan. I feel a sense of responsibility in it. Also being a verified Amazon influencer people out there are waiting for my reviews for products so basically they rely on me they trust me so I can’t afford to lose them at any point. Those followers are not actually followers but part of my journey they’re like a family to me. Also being an influencer I have been upgrading myself with things happening around the world so I can update others too. Also ya many times I have been criticized for things I have written so if one has the power of explaining things in a way which the other person understands then you have also developed into a well being matured person. And once someone told me to be open to criticism and yes here I am.
Amar Ajnalkar: What is the best collaboration experience that you have done with a brand?
Pratik Patil: I have collaborated with a lot of brands to date: Dunzo, Amazon, Pavillion Mall (Pune), Smaash, BLVD Nasik and many more. The most interesting collaboration was with BLVD NASIK, the best property. I was here for Staycation which gave me an idea of how to start travel blogging and to create content for the same
Amar Ajnalkar: How many hours a day do you work and hows your daily schedule?
Pratik Patil: Being a Pr of so many restaurants in Pune and also into food blogging there’s no fixed schedule. I have to maintain all the records of bloggers then have to write my own reviews of restaurants I have visited which is then accompanied by Studies, Sports, Gym and College. So apart from sleeping hours I’m totally busy.
Amar Ajnalkar: Is the influencer profession affected your family life? if yes then how?
Pratik Patil: Yes a bit. Cause of hectic schedule. I’m not able to spend much time with my parents. But still they do understand things and have been constantly supporting me. So I have came up with an idea of at least one meal in the day or tea session I’ll have with them. I know it’s hard to maintain my profession and my relations with loved ones but yes again I have no other option and I have to plan things accordingly.
Amar Ajnalkar: What motivates you in life?
Pratik Patil: What motivates me umm… single mothers and fathers. Yes they do motivate me a lot just look at them they are all-rounders they handle things with ease though it’s difficult at first but then they are just perfect in everything, the way they handle all the responsibilities no one can be as good as them. Also, I have been staying in Army residency from the past 22 years so I have seen how people struggle to meet their families cause them nation comes first. Many of them have lost their loved ones some of our brave warriors have lost one or the other body parts and still working without giving any reasons this thing motivates me a lot.
Amar Ajnalkar: What are your favorite books or movies related to your niche?
Pratik Patil: To be honest I’m totally not into reading books or novels. And regarding movies hahaha anyone out there can tell you that I’m a big fan of South Indian movies. Cause the food, the culture, the nature they have is just amazing.
Amar Ajnalkar: What surprising lessons have you learned while influencing?
Pratik Patil: In this world, everyone has their own opinions and we are bound to accept all of them. We shouldn’t stick to one plan we should always have a back-up plan. Also not everyone who’s good to you is actually good for you. One should be smart enough to judge people on the basis of their actions cause if you can’t then get ready to face types of problems. And we should do things without any expectations.
Amar Ajnalkar: Top 3 skills required to become a successful influencer.
Pratik Patil: Three main skills required to become a successful influencer is consistency in your work, hunger to learn more and social media versatility. Other skills are updating yourself according to time, Interpersonal skills, Authenticity, etc.
