Interview with Arpita Narayan

Interview with Arpita Narayan: Arpita Narayan is a Food Blogger. Arpita is one of the most multi-talented personalities I have seen ever in the Influencer world. She is an Advocate, Voice-over artist, YouTuber, and passionate food blogger too. We had a great discussion and really enjoyed it a lot during the Interview with Arpita Narayan.

Amar Ajnalkar: Tell our readers about yourself?

Arpita Narayan: My Name is Arpita Narayan, I am an advocate via education, Voice over artist by chance & passion & hard work & talent  (which people say) and Food blogger & vlogger via passion. Studies happened and me becoming an Advocate was the option I choose when becoming a Doctor engineer or Lawyer was the only option….and though I had science stream I knew for a fact that I cannot be an engineer and doctor for sure ..so the left option was Lawyer. Well…I finished my studies came back and did a job in MNC as a Legal Project Consultant for 2.5 years…..In starting it was all the going smooth ..first job..getting salary..enjoying ..but later on I started feeling some empty space that there was something more to this 10-8 (or sometimes 10-11 ) Job …Life cannot be just working, paying bills, and then waiting for a weekend….and there was something else that I should do. I have always loved animated movies and used to mimic them…but I didn’t know that it was a proper career …and by chance all thanks to the Internet at the office… I got to know about the death of the voice actor of Eustace from Courage the cowardly dog(RIP). And I started searching about it..and then got to know that the work is called voice over…and then learned about how to apply for it, every small detail I researched….and in btw I was also working at MNC …started practicing various animated voices (shinchan doremon deedee Pikachu Nobita, etc ) and what not!!!! Gave plenty of auditions Plenty!!!!! Not a single studio I left from my research Radar!!! And finally got a small part…and then another part …..then small parts leading to a big part where I was giving minimum 15 voices ..then more parts in acts..some small some very big ..it was a mixture but a happy mixture..and I was Soo happy doing it that I didn’t know that working can Make You and Your Soul Happy♥️In btw after a lot of courage I left my MNC job…And thankfully My parents understood after giving them the results of what I was doing…hearing my voice in series ..they were proud ..so convincing them was easy cause what I was doing it was showing the result…not a high result..but result..and that was enough for me….to be happy again ..And with this, I was also doing Masters in Psychology (distance course) just cause I was free from the MNC job and had time to think more…added to Voice over..Doing all this …. approximately 1.5 years back…I got to know a Lil bit about food blogging and I thought why not …I was already spending money on eating and taking photos (photos taken for memory purpose with no direction of anything) of it from past soo many years why not try for it….and I have always been a chatori and a full time thinking about food type person..like at breakfast asking mummy what is for lunch..at lunch .what is for evening snack…and so on …and from my childhood, I have always loved the Job Mr. Vinod Dua used to do in Zaika India Ka…I was super fascinated by it….and always used to think that u need to study something particular to be like this and now I have had my study part..no more studies So It was like a lost dream I revived…and started Instagram page…and then…Here we Are!!!

Amar Ajnalkar: How did you come up with the name for your Instagram account?

Arpita Narayan: It came by chance I had thought about many small names too but obviously nice creative names were already taken…so I thought why not sum up my food life in the name and then came with This Girl Is Foodie Forever.

Amar Ajnalkar: What is the best thing about being an influencer?

Arpita Narayan: FOOD!!! Different types of cuisine ♥️ 50% are dishes which I didn’t even knew…and have always watch them in TLC and food channels …..got the knowledge the experience…met people.. made friends…saw the love of food in others eyes too and realized that I am not alone in being a person who is cuckoo in front of food..and I am loving the process…

Amar Ajnalkar: What is the best collaboration experience that you have done with a brand?

Arpita Narayan: I have just started…and by God’s grace got one of Hershey’s chocolate brand collab !! And loved how it was all managed …I was already making YouTube videos so making a video was normal for me but as it was my first-time brand collab…I was a bit confused in starting process..the does and don’t ..what to add..etc..but it was all simplified and I got through it and they loved my work, it was approved on the first try!!! …and my parents were proud of me….and I was excited too…So it was a happy ending to it…later had one more collab with Disano..and it was good too…But the first collab gave me knowledge of how to do the brand collab and that is something which will help me grow in this field

Amar Ajnalkar: How many hours a day do you work and hows your daily schedule?

Arpita Narayan: No proper working hrs…as I am managing insta YouTube helo etc…all my social media accounts…and I am working for me ..so there is no particular timing. If a project is done…I do try to relax the next day…but the mind is a constant thinking for the next thing…shooting editing scripting …there are many aspects…So I will say creating content is a full day job .and if u are happy doing it…it won’t bug you and you won’t be tired of it….so in all this, the relaxation for me is Korean dramas

Amar Ajnalkar: Is the influencer profession affected your family life? if yes then how?

Arpita Narayan: It changed the mindset of ME who thought that for any particular profession there has to be a degree related to it….and then the mindset of MY PARENTS…which changed ..from telling people that their daughter is an advocate at this company and end of the story…to tell them that she did this voice over…came on this channel… I went to this restuarant…food comes at home . .did this collab….u know a proud lively interaction…and with this, I hope so that the people listening to them would understand that there are more than just 3 professions…and if their child wants to pursue his/her dream…give them a chance…

Amar Ajnalkar: What motivates you in life?

Arpita Narayan: Obviously there are days when I am super gloomy of what I am doing ..no assurance and all…I have a notebook in which I write thought and all…which when I read give me assurance and then Ted Talks and Recently I have started listening to Ranveer Allahabadia ‘s podcasts…and I just revive from them…with more confidence…and with my heart saying “all is well”

Amar Ajnalkar: What are your favorite books or movies related to your niche?

Arpita Narayan: Ikigai and secret…not related to niche ..but I love them
Movie… Julie and Julia , Ratatouille , Chef (Hollywood ), this is not what I expected, cloudy with a chance of meatball and then YouTube food channels.

Amar Ajnalkar: What surprising lessons have you learned while influencing?

Arpita Narayan: There was no surprising lesson ..this was like a flow of knowledge passing on from people whom I met ..my friends in blogging sector…and my eagerness to try the photo and video aspects…The need for editing photo..the lights.. contrast…angles …watermark..tags ..if u are curious about anything u will try to know more about it…And yes while shooting the little minute aspects …Well this all comes with practice and then there is more to learn every day…..it’s an ever learning process…

Amar Ajnalkar: Top 3 skills required to become a successful influencer.

Arpita Narayan: Consisting Patience & Originality

Amar Ajnalkar: Hows your experience with Amar Ajnalkar?

Arpita Narayan: I have never asked myself these questions… And being asked from someone made me think about me…I got to know me better when I gave the answers!! Some hidden Thoughts that I never Thought!! So it was Amazing!!

Amar Ajnalkar: Two lines for our reader.

Arpita Narayan: Don’t be afraid of criticism…First, it will help you grow (if it’s positive)And if it’s negative…(burai toh log Sharukh Khan ki bhi karte hai, that doesn’t stop him, So you should not stop too). And I have loved this Quote! Better an “Ops” then “what if”
