Interview with Akanksha Chemburkar:  Tell our readers about yourself?

Akanksha Chemburkar: Hi I am Akanksha Chemburkar, a Mumbaikar, a student and a food lover. I love to cook and blog about the same. I try to create recipes that are easy, quick and can be made using ingredients that are easy to source. I believe that every meal should be celebrated but every meal does not have to be eaten outside, you can cook and celebrate simple homemade meals.

Amar Ajnalkar: How did you come up with the name for your blogging site (domain name)?

Akanksha Chemburkar: I love to click pictures of what I cook and eat outside, that is, I like to capture recipes in pixels, and I live in Mumbai so hence the name, Mumbai Food In Pixels (my blogging site).

Amar Ajnalkar: What is the best thing about being a blogger?

Akanksha Chemburkar: The best thing about being a blogger, in my case, is loving my passion for food. I started cooking at a very early age and I have loved it ever since. Food blogging helps me express my love for food and share it with others. All the recipes I try, all the new techniques I learn, I share it with my viewers and that’s what makes me happy, which is the best thing.

Amar Ajnalkar:  What is the best collaboration experience that you have done with a brand?

Akanksha Chemburkar: I recently collaborated with Weikfield and this experience was something that I will always remember. I tried their baking products which lead to be baking a perfect cake for the very first time. This is one of my favorite collaborations till date.

Amar Ajnalkar: How many hours a day do you work and how’s your daily schedule?

Akanksha Chemburkar: I have a full-time job alongside my blogging work so I do not have a specific time schedule for blogging as such. I record recipes almost every time I cook which is about 4-5 days a week. I write my blogs on my way to work and that’s about it. I believe that it’s my love for food that never tires me.

Amar Ajnalkar: Is the blogging profession affected your family life? If yes then how?

Akanksha Chemburkar: It has but in the most positive way possible. I try out recipes from various cuisines and everyone at home tries that and likes it too. I come from a foodie family and hence, my blogging has always been loved by them. They have been very supportive and always help me out while filming or taking pictures. I can never thank them enough.

Amar Ajnalkar: What motivates you in life?

Akanksha Chemburkar: The fact that I have such a huge platform to share my thoughts with and my never-dying love for food always keeps me motivated. There definitely are those dull days where I do not like to cook or film or do anything related to food but then I just sit back, take some time off and get back to what I love doing the most.

Amar Ajnalkar: What are your favorite books or movies related to your niche?

Akanksha Chemburkar: I haven’t really read books but I love watching “Chef” of Netflix. I have learned a lot from this show and that has encouraged me to extend my love to various cuisines.

Amar Ajnalkar: What surprising lessons have you learned while blogging?

Akanksha Chemburkar: The most important lesson is to be true to yourself. Whether you are writing a blog or filming a video, staying true to your content is very important. Once you do so, you pour in all the positivity into it which later transfers to your viewers/readers.

Amar Ajnalkar: Top 3 skills required to become a successful blogger.

Akanksha Chemburkar: A creative mind, a strong will power to work hard and lots of continuous research/reading.

Amar Ajnalkar: What is like about Amar Ajnalkar’s website?

Akanksha Chemburkar: I like how Amar Ajnalkar is trying to bridge a gap between viewers and bloggers and making it easier for bloggers like myself to reach out to many.
