Amar Ajnalkar: Tell our readers about yourself?
Suhina Chakraborty: Hey, I am a Kolkata based lifestyle blogger. I love creating content and taking up fun challenges on social media, coming from a journalism and media background it helps me to brush my creative skills.
Amar Ajnalkar: How did you come up with the name for your Instagram account?
Suhina Chakraborty: Initially it was “curls that make you twirl” and the reason being I am blessed with curly hair which I absolutely love and pamper. Recently I took that down and made it simply my name as I was suggested by some senior bloggers in my city that our ig name should always be short and crisp.
Amar Ajnalkar: What is the best thing about being an influencer?
Suhina Chakraborty: The word “influencer” carries a lot of knowledge and venting out the same which definitely is the best part. You get to interact and play a role in some people’s live and their decision – what can one not like about it. Social media platform helps you to understand and promote your interests on a large scale and that is surely the best part of it.
Amar Ajnalkar: What is the best collaboration experience that you have done with a brand?
Suhina Chakraborty: Every brand that approaches me big or small is important to me, they trust us with their products which can be a dream project of many individuals it can be a source of income to some hence I try to put my best foot forward always when I provide the deliverables. Having said that one of my dream collaboration was with Lifestyle, TOI and obviously Urbanic ( I went internationaalllll)
Amar Ajnalkar: How many hours a day do you work and hows your daily schedule?
Suhina Chakraborty: I really don’t like taking pressure in doing something I love and content creation is one of them. Even though yes I almost spend more than 2-3 hours daily behind my ring light and laptop fixing my content.
Amar Ajnalkar: Is the influencer profession affected your family life? if yes then how?
Suhina Chakraborty: Yes I would say so, sometimes even at night I would have to shoot content on an urgency basis having to leave the dinner table. My parents sometimes don’t really like that but yes work is work and they respect it too, same with my loved ones. I have always been very particular with my professional and personal life which makes it easy for me to manage both the boats .
Amar Ajnalkar: What motivates you in life?
Suhina Chakraborty: My dream two storey – white and grey monochrome themed house is what I am aiming at and doing all the hard work for. Time and dedication is the key to your goal and am sure we all will get to our goal sooner in life.
Amar Ajnalkar: What are your favourite books or movies related to your niche?
Suhina Chakraborty: There is no such book or movie I can think of relatable to my niche but yes I surely plan to become a travel blogger soon and “zindagi na milegi dobara” will always be my background inspiration .
Amar Ajnalkar: What surprising lessons have you learned while influencing?
Suhina Chakraborty: Learnt so many things good and bad but not really surprising as this is similar to any other profession, we do have fellow influencers just being friends for campaigns and collaboration details. If you are an influencer you know what I mean 😉
Amar Ajnalkar: Top 3 skills required to become a successful influencer.
